April 5, 2016 | Academically Prepared |Fifty Five students from Porter High School attended the Texas State SkillsUSA Skill and Leadership Conference in Corpus Christi March 31 - April 3. 

 

SkillsUSA is a student led organization that creates partnerships with industry to create young adults that are ready to become leaders in the workforce. 

 

At the state contest this year Porter students won several medals along with State and District officer positions. 

 

The award winners for Firefighting and Practical Nursing, as well as, the new state officers, new district officer and existing national officer will be going to SkillsUSA Nationals in June! Congratulations to all the students who participated. Go SPARTANS!!
