State trooper discusses dangers of texting and driving with students


Trooper Erik Burse Jan. 12, 2016 | Responsible Citizens | New Caney High School Sophomores attended a special class meeting Jan. 11.  


Students were presented with informative and motivating information from Trooper Erik Burse of the Texas Department of Public Safety. Trooper Burse discussed with students the laws in regards to drivers under the age of 18, distracted driving and driving while impaired.
 
Trooper Burse informed students that texting and driving was the number one killer of teens in the United States. He discussed the laws in regards to drivers under the age of 18 and the dangers of impaired vision.
