Board of Trustees Approves Appointment for Porter High School Campus Athletic Coordinator/Head Football Coach

 

Porter High School Jan. 8, 2016 | The New Caney ISD Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Jim Holly as Porter High School Campus Athletic Coordinator/Head Football Coach at a special meeting Thursday, Jan. 7.

 

Holley, who has more than 20 years of coaching experience, most recently served as the district’s Athletic Operations Coordinator. Holley came to New Caney ISD from Humble ISD where he served as head football coach/athletic coordinator at Kingwood Park High School from its inaugural season in 2007 through the 2014 season. Holley’s teams at KPHS were 41-35 during his tenure and completed five straight winning campaigns from 2010 to 2014. The Panthers made the playoffs four of his final five seasons, were 18-4A District Champions in 2011, and won bi-district championships in 2010 and 2014.

 

Holley previously served as an assistant coach and taught in New Caney ISD from 1993-1999. Holley’s professional experience also includes work in Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD. Holley is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, and played football at SFA and Kilgore College. He has a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Sam Houston State University.
