New Caney High School Administration

Loyacano  My name is David Loyacano, and I am very happy to be a part of the New Caney High School family serving as principal of the high school since 2008.  This is my twenty-fourth year in education, and I have been a New Caney High School administrator for the past twelve years. After graduating from Port Neches- Groves High School, I received my undergraduate degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.  I earned my master’s degree in education from the University of Houston, and I am currently working on my doctorate at Lamar University.  My wife works as an instructional specialist for New Caney ISD and together we have two wonderful daughters.  Madilyn is a 2014 NCHS graduate, and Kelsey belongs to the NCHS Class of 2018.  I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling to historical places, and going to watch athletic events.

Over the past decade, many positive changes have taken place at New Caney High School.  With the support of our community, we have new facilities and upgrades to our building as well as technology in the hands of all students.  Our number one priority is the students who walk through the doors every morning, and our great students are what have remained consistent throughout the years.  I am fortunate to work with a solid group of administrators and teachers who encourage our students to do their best.

Stephenson For over 20 years, I have been a New Caney Eagle as a teacher, coach, and currently as an administrator. My entire career has been in New Caney ISD  where I have had the opportunity to witness many changes and much growth in the area. I am proud to be a part of such a dynamic, forward-thinking district.  My role as the dean of instruction creates many chances for me to wear a variety of hats.  The most important one is maintaining a safe and positive environment allowing all students to be successful.  I look forward to working with parents and students as we strive to make this an exceptional year! You may contact me via email, or by phone 281-577-5104.

This is my second year as an Eagle, but my eighth year in education. I joined the New Caney ISD family two years ago teaching chemistry at Infinity Early College. I started out in industry working as a chemist and a product manager. After almost five years in the petrochemical industry I decided to follow my love of science into the classroom. I have taught all levels of science and developed curriculum for astronomy and physics. I am committed to helping students, staff, and the community in whatever way that I can. Please let me know of anything that I can do to help. Contact me either by phone at 281-577-2800 extension 5144 or email me at
