Third through fifth grade students will be taking practice STAAR tests over the next few months. These tests are given to students for several reasons. First, they have a chance to practice taking a longer test in the same format as STAAR. Secondly, teachers use the information from the test to help tutor students in TEKS identified as needing improvement.
ATTENTION TAVOLA PARENTS If your child will be a car rider at anytime during the 2016-2017 school year, please see the attached document! You may print the document and bring into Tavola’s front office beginning Monday, August 1st or you may also pick up the form from the front office. Once your form is turned in, car rider tags will be created for you and they may be picked up at Meet the Teacher Night. January 13, 2017 - Infinity Early College High School was created in 2013 and will graduate its first class of seniors this May.
Jan. 6, 2017 - The Texas Education Agency (TEA) released a provisional set of accountability ratings for school districts and campuses across the state on Friday, Jan. 6, based on the TEA’s new rating system scheduled for implementation in 2018. The Texas Commissioner of Education released a statement reminding the public that “the ratings in this report are for informational purposes to meet a legislative requirement and represent work-in-progress models that are likely to change” before the new system goes into effect in 2018.
