New Caney ISD gives credit for years of service based on your service record. Actual salary is based on years of creditable experience. It is the employee's responsibility to submit service records verifying additional years of experience. You must provide New Caney ISD with ORIGINAL transcripts and service records within 45 days of hire date. It is your responsibility to request your service records from previous districts, and then submit the original to New Caney ISD. Remember, salary credit for experience in, or out of state, will not be granted until original service records are received and verified. Transcripts need to bear the original seal and the signature of the registrar. Original transcripts are not required to be in a sealed envelope, however it must be on the institution’s paper. New Caney ISD will only accept electronic transcripts sent directly from the institution. Electronic transcripts may be sent to Lisa Miller at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will not accept a forwarded electronic transcript.

When is the benefits enrollment deadline?
You have 31 days after your start date to enroll in New Caney ISD benefits. If you miss the enrollment deadline, you will not have coverage for the remainder of the policy year and your next opportunity to enroll will be during open enrollment in August.
When do my benefits begin?
Your benefits will be effective the 1st of the month following your active at work date, unless you elect to make it effective your active at work date, but your premiums will not be prorated. In which case you will pay for a whole month's premium for the portion of the month you are actually employed.
What happens if I have a life changing event?
Changes in benefit elections can occur only if you experience a qualifying event. You must present proof of a qualifying event to your Benefits Office within 30 days of your qualifying event and meet with your Benefits Office to complete the benefit election change. Benefit changes must be consistent with the qualifying event.

How often do I get paid?
New Caney ISD employees are paid on the 5th and 20th of the month.
How do I access my paycheck?
New Caney ISD requires all employees to enroll in direct deposit or set up a pay card. You will set up your direct deposit in your new hire forms electronically. If you choose to set up a Pay Card Account, you will need to contact Amy Coffman . The Payroll department website can be accessed here. You may access your paycheck stubs in the TEAMS Employee Service Center.
