  • Important Summer STAAR & Remediation Information

    Summer remediation and testing for the English I, English II, Algebra 1, Biology and US History End of Course exams will be offered at the New Caney Annex building (Infinity Early College High School) next to New Caney High School during the week of June 19th through June 22nd. Passing these tests is a requirement to receive a diploma from the state of Texas. Click on title for all pertinent information!

  • PHS Hosts School Maker Faire

    On Saturday May 6, 2017, Porter High School hosted the first ever PHS School Maker Faire. The maker movement is growing at an extreme pace to meet the demands of the millennial mind-set and the exponential changes in the technological landscape. The Maker Faire is a celebration of this movement through invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. It’s a place to show what we’ve made and to share what we’ve learned with others.   • Kali Simpson named 2017 Scholar-Athlete Award Recipient

    The Texas High School Athletic Directors Association and Whataburger recently named Kali Simpson, from Porter High School, as the 2017 Scholar-Athlete Female Award Recipient. As part of the award, Kali will receive a $1,500.00 scholarship. Click to read more.

  • PHS Criminal Justice Brings Home Overall 1st From El Paso Border Challenge

    On April 28 and 29th, Porter High sent 8 Criminal Justice students and 2 Fire Academy Cadets to participate in the El Paso Border Challenge. The weekend was action packed. Jacob Wilson, Sydney Busby, Bryan Rodas, Christian Hernandez, Tyler McDanel, Christina Bess, John Garcia, and Michael Carreon represented the CJ Department with Robert Barrientos and Madison Kleinsorge represented the Fire Academy.     The Porter HS FCCLA chapter competed at the state competition in Dallas April 6-8. Fifteen students competed in this competition. Six students qualify for Nationals and three students place. Click the title for detailed results

  • PHS Technology Students Association (TSA) competed in Waco for the state competition

    PHS Technology Students Association (TSA) competed in Waco for the state competition. 70 projects from 8 students earned 26 total awards including 10 first place and 6 second place medals for projects that included wood-working, photography, technical drawing, electronics, and t-shirt design.
